Veterans Memorial Gardens & Interpretive Centre Our Region

From the East side of the MD of Opportunity to the BC Border and from Grande Cache to the Northwest Territory Border.

The Interpretive Centre will be telling the stories and history of Northwestern Alberta using the physical boundaries of Region 1 of the AB/NWT Command of the Royal Canadian Legion as our guide.

We define the region we cover this way:

From the East side of the MD of Opportunity to the BC Border and from Grande Cache to the Northwest Territory Border.

Our Educational Programs can be shipped to anywhere in this geographical region.

We are grateful to work, live and learn on the traditional territory of Treaty 8.

We acknowledge the homeland of the many diverse First Nations and Métis people whose ancestors have walked this land since time immemorial.

We are grateful to work, live and learn on the traditional territory of Treaty 8.
